Responsibilities

  • Define the assessment methodology and coordinate the study team
  • Assess environmental and social impacts of incinerator installation
  • Review national and international safeguard-policy compliance
  • Collect and analyse evidence across the selected health facilities
  • Develop mitigation, compensation and monitoring measures
  • Prepare an environmental and social management plan
  • Coordinate and deliver inception, interim and final reports

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree at BAC+5 level in environmental management, sanitary engineering, natural resources or an equivalent field
  • At least seven years of experience in environmental and social assessments or similar studies
  • Completion of at least two similar studies within the previous five years
  • Experience assessing environmental and social safeguards for internationally financed projects
  • Very good spoken and written French
