Consultant National pour l’Étude d’Impact Environnemental et Social d’Incinérateurs Sanitaires

Leads the environmental and social impact assessment for installing incinerators at 19 health facilities in Burkina Faso, identifying and mitigating risks to people and ecosystems while developing a responsible implementation framework and environmental and social management plan.

• Define the assessment methodology and coordinate the study team
• Assess environmental and social impacts of incinerator installation
• Review national and international safeguard-policy compliance
• Collect and analyse evidence across the selected health facilities
• Develop mitigation, compensation and monitoring measures
• Prepare an environmental and social management plan
• Coordinate and deliver inception, interim and final reports

• Postgraduate degree at BAC+5 level in environmental management, sanitary engineering, natural resources or an equivalent field
• At least seven years of experience in environmental and social assessments or similar studies
• Completion of at least two similar studies within the previous five years
• Experience assessing environmental and social safeguards for internationally financed projects
• Very good spoken and written French
