Responsibilities

  • Facilitate consultations with government, WHO, UNICEF, civil society and research stakeholders
  • Validate climate-sensitive health data and integrate maternal and neonatal indicators
  • Design a framework linking climate-change determinants to health outcomes
  • Update evidence on diseases, extreme weather and health infrastructure vulnerability
  • Integrate heat-health measures, early warning systems and occupational safety protocols
  • Review the draft action plan for practicality, cost-effectiveness and geographic inclusion
  • Support finalisation of the H-NAP document for validation and adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and master's degree in a relevant field such as public health, environmental health sciences or climate change
  • Minimum of five years of experience in health systems strengthening, climate change adaptation or related areas
  • Demonstrated experience in Tanzania or similar contexts
  • Strong knowledge of climate-sensitive diseases, heat-health risks and climate-health pathways
  • Experience developing or reviewing national health strategies, adaptation plans or policy frameworks aligned with WHO guidance
  • Fluency in Kiswahili and English
