National/International Consultancy for Developing Environmental Health Policy and Environmental Health Strategic Plan

Leads a participatory consultancy to develop Lesotho's Environmental Health Policy and 2027-2031 Strategic Plan, including situation analysis, stakeholder engagement, costing, monitoring and validation.

• Prepare inception and planning materials for the policy and strategic plan process
• Conduct desk review and situational analysis of environmental health policies and evidence
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and consultations across relevant sectors
• Review and develop the Environmental Health Policy
• Develop a costed Environmental Health Strategic Plan for 2027-2031
• Prepare monitoring, evaluation and financing frameworks
• Support validation and finalisation of the policy and strategic plan

• Advanced university degree in environmental health, public health, health policy or a related field
• At least ten years of progressively relevant professional experience in environmental health, public health, health systems or policy development
• Demonstrated experience drafting or supporting development of national policies, strategies or action plans
• Strong analytical skills including desk review, policy analysis and synthesis of technical evidence
• Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and participatory approach skills
• Proficiency in professional English writing and strong verbal communication

• Consultancy duration is four months
• Working arrangement is remote
