Community Preparedness Innovation & Implementation

Produces podcasts, mobile community dialogues and preparedness messages for WHO Africa to turn regional emergency-readiness policy into accessible tools, elevate frontline perspectives, strengthen community voice and manage dissemination and learning across Member States.

Department: Emergency Preparedness and Response

• Translate regional preparedness commitments into accessible narratives and mobile tools
• Produce and disseminate at least 15 podcast episodes
• Produce at least 15 community-preparedness pulse products
• Conduct and publish community dialogues across five countries
• Manage podcast, dialogue and REACH-AFRICA communication channels
• Coordinate experts, partners and community representatives through production
• Document feedback, lessons and recommendations for scale-up

• Bachelor or master degree in communication, journalism, media production or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least three to five years of experience in audio and video production, podcasting, community engagement or similar work
• Portfolio of podcasts, audio content or community-dialogue outputs
• Excellent communication in at least one WHO-relevant language and knowledge of a second language

• National UN Volunteer assignment for six months
• Open only to Kenyan nationals
• Travel may account for up to 25 per cent of the appointment
