Cloud Systems and DevOps Analyst

Builds, secures and optimises Microsoft Azure infrastructure and DevOps platforms for ESCWA, migrating legacy workloads from Proxmox, automating CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning, and helping developers modernise applications with reliable cloud architecture and observability.

Department: Decision-Support and Data Science Division

• Deploy, administer and optimise enterprise Microsoft Azure resources for performance, governance and utilisation
• Migrate virtual machines and workloads from Proxmox into Azure landing zones
• Configure Windows Server and Linux operating systems in cloud environments
• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Author and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep and ARM Templates
• Analyse application dependencies and recommend IaaS or cloud-native modernisation pathways
• Manage cloud identity, governance and access through Azure Active Directory
• Configure monitoring, log analytics, alerts and infrastructure hardening across cloud platforms

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, cloud engineering, system administration or a related field
• Minimum three years of experience in system administration, IT infrastructure operations or cloud platform architecture
• Hands-on experience deploying, administering and monitoring production Microsoft Azure environments
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments with Terraform, Bicep or ARM Templates
• Experience working with software development teams to translate application requirements and performance metrics into infrastructure specifications
• Fluency in English
• Legal right to live and work in Beirut

• Six-month individual contractor assignment
