Associate Financial Management Officer

Provides project financial-management services from ADB’s Pakistan Resident Mission, conducting due diligence, reviewing audited statements and strengthening client systems so sovereign and non-sovereign operations meet reporting, control and implementation standards.

Department: Financial Management Division, Procurement, Portfolio and Financial Management Department

• Review project and entity financial statements, audit quality and covenant compliance
• Conduct financial-management due diligence for project processing
• Prepare cost estimates, financing plans, sustainability analysis and risk-mitigation measures
• Monitor financial-management action plans and project data during implementation
• Assess country financial-management systems and developments affecting portfolio performance
• Design and deliver financial-management capacity building for executing and implementing agencies
• Support project missions and coordinate with government and project teams
• Strengthen financial reporting, audit arrangements and internal-control systems

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferably with advanced training
• Professional accounting qualification from an internationally recognised IFAC-affiliated institution
• At least five years of private- or public-sector financial-management experience
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, investment appraisal and financial-management systems
• English proficiency in spoken and written communication
• Pakistani nationality or permanent residence

• Locally recruited fixed-term appointment of up to three years
• Appointment may be renewed under ADB rules but is not convertible to a regular appointment
