The consultant will help Niger’s education-sector common fund put its gender and inclusion action plan into practice, guide national and decentralised actors, strengthen gender-sensitive planning and monitoring, and document progress, constraints and corrective measures.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalise recommendations from the gender and inclusion analysis through a practical action plan
  • Guide central and decentralised actors in progressively implementing the gender and inclusion plan
  • Monitor implementation, document progress and constraints, and propose corrective measures
  • Capture lessons and good practices to sustain gender-responsive and inclusive action
  • Integrate gender and inclusion considerations into annual and regional planning and reporting instruments
  • Produce technical and analytical documents for programme planning, decisions and monitoring

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree at BAC+5 level or above in gender, inclusion, education, social sciences or an equivalent field
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in Niger across gender, inclusion, education, protection, social development or humanitarian action
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing or monitoring gender-responsive and inclusive programmes
  • Excellent spoken and written French, with all deliverables produced in French
