Advocacy and Partnerships Specialist, Africa

Builds partnerships and evidence-based advocacy across Africa to accelerate responsible digital payments, financial inclusion and digital public infrastructure, aligning regional strategies, engaging governments and businesses, sharing knowledge and mobilising champions for inclusive trade and growth.

Department: Better Than Cash Alliance

• Develop and implement the Better Than Cash Alliance advocacy strategy for Africa
• Build partnerships with governments, businesses and regional institutions
• Advise members on responsible digital payments and digital public infrastructure
• Translate evidence and country experience into policy messages and knowledge products
• Mobilise senior champions for digital financial inclusion and inclusive trade
• Coordinate regional engagement, events and cross-country learning
• Integrate gender-responsive financial inclusion into advocacy and partnerships

• Advanced university degree in a relevant discipline, or a first degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of relevant experience with an advanced degree or seven years with a first degree
• Experience in digital payments, digital financial services or financial inclusion
• Experience engaging African governments and private-sector partners
• Knowledge of payment technologies and regulatory issues
• Fluency in English and French

• Home-based position with travel across Africa
