Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Better Than Cash Alliance advocacy strategy for Africa
  • Build partnerships with governments, businesses and regional institutions
  • Advise members on responsible digital payments and digital public infrastructure
  • Translate evidence and country experience into policy messages and knowledge products
  • Mobilise senior champions for digital financial inclusion and inclusive trade
  • Coordinate regional engagement, events and cross-country learning
  • Integrate gender-responsive financial inclusion into advocacy and partnerships

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant discipline, or a first degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least five years of relevant experience with an advanced degree or seven years with a first degree
  • Experience in digital payments, digital financial services or financial inclusion
  • Experience engaging African governments and private-sector partners
  • Knowledge of payment technologies and regulatory issues
  • Fluency in English and French
