WASH and Infection Prevention and Control Consultant – EVD Preparedness and Response

Provides technical assistance to Rwanda’s health authorities and partners to strengthen WASH and infection prevention and control preparedness for Ebola. The consultancy focuses on health facilities, community readiness, outbreak response capacity and continuity of essential services.

• Provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Centre and partner agencies on Ebola preparedness
• Strengthen infection prevention and control systems in health facilities
• Support the expansion of WASH services for outbreak prevention and response
• Enhance community-based preparedness for cross-border Ebola risks
• Build national and subnational WASH and IPC response capacity
• Support continuity of essential services during outbreak preparedness and response

• University degree at bachelors level or higher in Public Health, Environmental Health, WASH, Engineering, Epidemiology or a related field
• At least eight years of WASH experience, particularly in Ebola, Marburg or comparable public health emergency response
• Strong spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda

• National consultancy lasting 4.47 months
• Office-based assignment with travel
