Overview
Produces high-quality video coverage for UNCCD COP17 and the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists. The consultant will film interviews, landscapes and campaign events, deliver daily social-media highlights, manage field equipment and create a final visual record of the conference.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate filming with CERP and external production partners against agreed narratives and specifications
- Deliver daily COP17 highlight clips for UNCCD social media channels
- Film the Silk Road Caravan journey and arrival at COP17 in cinematic 4K footage
- Record interviews with officials, pastoralists and scientists alongside campaign and landscape footage
- Operate drones in compliance with local regulations and UN safety requirements
- Capture clean synchronised audio for interviews, b-roll and final productions
- Manage camera and audio equipment, data offloading and field backups
Requirements
- First-level university degree in film production, media studies, journalism or a related field, or technical certification with two additional years of experience
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in documentary filmmaking, photojournalism or broadcast media
- Experience filming in remote outdoor environments
- Willingness to travel to remote project sites
- Professional camera, stabilisation, lighting and external audio equipment capable of 4K production
- Native proficiency in spoken and written English
- Compliance with journalistic ethics, informed image use and protection of subjects including children
