Overview
Supports the UNCCD Regional Liaison Office for Africa to deliver its annual workplan, coordinate with African Parties and partners, monitor regional policy developments and prepare technical communications, meetings and funding concepts that advance implementation of the Convention across Africa.

Responsibilities
- Support planning and follow-up of the regional annual workplan
- Draft briefings, concept notes, meeting reports and talking points
- Monitor regional developments and prepare analytical updates
- Liaise with national focal points, regional organisations and partners
- Organise regional meetings, webinars and workshops
- Develop partnerships, project concepts and funding proposals
- Maintain activity trackers, contact databases and progress updates
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental policy, international relations, international law, development studies or a related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in international environmental policy, multilateral negotiations or sustainable development
- Fluency in spoken and written English
