UN Women: Communications Analyst, N-PPSA 8, Apia, SAMOA (Open to Samoa Nationals ONLY)

Technical role focused on communications, supporting implementation, analysis, coordination and delivery of assigned programme outputs.

• Provide substantive support to the implementation of external communication and outreach/advocacy strategies and plans:
• Support the implementation of UN Women communication strategies, advocacy and outreach plans and activities in coordination with the Communications & Media Specialist, ensuring gender perspective;
• Supports the integration of communication, advocacy and outreach strategies into proposals for project/programmes and other initiatives, as necessary;
• Monitor and analyze print and social media and provide analysis to MCO;
• Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content, including posts, captions, graphics and short videos aligned with corporate guidelines;
• Provide inputs and support to the launch of in-country UN Women/ UN system corporate and local campaigns and special events.
• Coordinate and contribute substantively to the development and dissemination of advocacy materials:

• Support organizing roundtable discussions, press conferences and briefing session for press, as required;
• Upload information to knowledge management system on a regular basis, including news, updates, resources.
• Support knowledge management and documentation of communications activities:
• Assist in compiling and organizing communications materials, publications, media coverage and digital assets for internal records and knowledge management systems.
