• Educational background in biomedical engineering, health sciences, public health, engineering, social sciences or a related field
• Knowledge of gender equality, women’s empowerment and gender-mainstreaming principles
• Understanding of biomedical technologies and their use in health services
• Ability to integrate gender perspectives into health and community-development programmes
• English proficiency as the assignment’s primary working language
