Overview

Coordinates the 2026 Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in The Bahamas while working remotely. The consultant develops agendas and session requirements, coordinates government and partner inputs, manages hybrid-event materials and logistics, drafts outcome documents and leads follow-up and lessons learned.

Responsibilities

  • Review and develop the regional platform agenda
  • Coordinate advisory council and government planning meetings
  • Organise ministerial, plenary and technical sessions
  • Compile session requirements, scripts and speaker materials
  • Track partner deliverables and speaker confirmations
  • Coordinate hybrid-event logistics with service providers
  • Draft the Chair’s Summary and high-level communiqué
  • Produce the programme brochure and proceedings
  • Coordinate United Nations and government participation
  • Develop the after-action review and lessons learned

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field, or first degree with additional experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible relevant experience
  • Experience with intergovernmental disaster-risk mechanisms, platforms and frameworks
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
