Overview
Coordinates the 2026 Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in The Bahamas while working remotely. The consultant develops agendas and session requirements, coordinates government and partner inputs, manages hybrid-event materials and logistics, drafts outcome documents and leads follow-up and lessons learned.

Responsibilities
- Review and develop the regional platform agenda
- Coordinate advisory council and government planning meetings
- Organise ministerial, plenary and technical sessions
- Compile session requirements, scripts and speaker materials
- Track partner deliverables and speaker confirmations
- Coordinate hybrid-event logistics with service providers
- Draft the Chair’s Summary and high-level communiqué
- Produce the programme brochure and proceedings
- Coordinate United Nations and government participation
- Develop the after-action review and lessons learned
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field, or first degree with additional experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- Experience with intergovernmental disaster-risk mechanisms, platforms and frameworks
- Fluency in English and Spanish
