This assignment supports UNICEF supply and logistics operations by helping the Supply Section manage procurement documentation, supplier sourcing, tender support and contract processing. Responsibilities
- Review incoming demand and sales orders for complete specifications and terms of reference
- Prepare tender documents and support requests for quotations, invitations to bid and requests for proposals
- Source suppliers of goods and services and support evaluations of offers
- Draft submissions to the Contract Review Committee and assist with contracts and purchase orders
- Maintain procurement process documentation and supply planning data
- Prepare direct orders against existing Long-Term Arrangements
- Work with suppliers to support quality assurance and timely delivery
Requirements
- Academic background in statistics, development economics, business administration, international relations, social sciences or a similar field
- Demonstrated interest or up to three years of experience in supply and procurement or another administrative function in a commercial working environment
- Demonstrated interest or up to three years of experience in event and meeting management
- English is required
