Responsibilities

  • Implement procurement strategies, policies, controls and standard operating procedures
  • Organise RFQ, ITB and RFP processes and evaluate procurement submissions
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts and vendor profiles in e-procurement systems
  • Consolidate procurement plans and monitor implementation for the country office and projects
  • Implement supplier selection, evaluation and roster development
  • Support harmonised procurement services and joint procurement opportunities with UN agencies
  • Organise procurement training for operations staff, project staff and vendors
  • Supervise support staff in the Procurement Unit

Requirements

  • Secondary education
  • Seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience with secondary education, or four years with a university degree
  • Experience at national and international level
  • Experience using computers, office software and web-based management systems such as ERP
  • Fluency in the UN language of the duty station
  • Fluency in the national language of the duty station for local staff
