Responsibilities

  • Support procurement compliance, contract management and procurement risk management for the project
  • Prepare procurement plans, procurement documents, purchase orders and contracts in Quantum
  • Guide project finance management, budget oversight and payment-request submission
  • Prepare work-plan, progress-report and review documents for government counterparts and project partners
  • Monitor project budget implementation and expenditures
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for events, workshops, missions and meetings
  • Maintain project documentation, records and confidential materials in hard and electronic copies
  • Ensure proper project asset management, monitoring, recording and disposal

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy, advanced university degree in Finance or Accounting, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • Five years of progressive relevant experience with a master's degree, or seven years with a bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience in resource management of programme projects or financial reporting in UNDP, a UN agency or an international development agency
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software
  • Experience using computers, office software, spreadsheet and database packages, and web-based management systems
  • Fluency in English and Tongan
