Senior Protection Casework Associate

Supports IOM assisted voluntary return protection casework in Guyana, screening migrants with protection needs and coordinating referrals, case management and post-arrival assistance.

• Plan, coordinate, implement and monitor AVR project activities
• Compile and analyse information on project topics for relevant stakeholders
• Conduct individual protection screening for migrants on arrival
• Support case plans for survivors of GBV, trafficking, children at risk and people with health or psychosocial needs
• Coordinate referrals to legal, health, psychosocial, family tracing, GBV and child protection services
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality, informed consent and case documentation
• Prepare reports, casework summaries and protection assessment inputs
• Support training, partner monitoring and standard operating procedure development

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with four years of professional experience, or high school diploma with six years of professional experience
• Experience in protection case management for survivors of GBV, human trafficking, children at risk or similar groups in humanitarian or migration contexts
• Experience working with vulnerable persons, ideally including returnees or deported migrants with complex needs
• Experience with referrals and coordination with local protection actors, NGOs or government services
