Overview

Supports IOM Ethiopia protection capacity-building work by planning trainings, coordinating stakeholders, documenting lessons, compiling information and reporting on migrant protection, legal aid, legal identity and reintegration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, implement and monitor capacity-building project activities
  • Participate in capacity-building needs assessments for stakeholders and institutions
  • Develop capacity-building programmes and plans based on identified needs
  • Conduct workshops on migrant protection, governance, protection and reintegration
  • Maintain training beneficiary inventories and evaluate use of knowledge and skills
  • Coordinate with authorities, partners, UN agencies, donors and other stakeholders
  • Document good practices and lessons learned and support SOPs, policies and concept papers
  • Compile, analyse and present project information and data

Requirements

  • School diploma with six years of relevant experience, or bachelor degree in a relevant field with four years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience liaising with government authorities, national and international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups
  • Experience conducting capacity needs assessments for stakeholders and institutions
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required
