Senior Procurement Specialist (Category Head – Corporate Services and Real Estate)

The category head leads World Bank corporate services and real estate procurement, managing category professionals and strategies, overseeing complex sourcing and supplier agreements, reducing cost and risk, and advising senior stakeholders across headquarters and global business centres.

Department: Corporate Procurement Department

• Develop category strategies across spend areas
• Lead and develop procurement professionals
• Identify cost, value and process improvements
• Oversee complex high-value sourcing
• Approve procurement approaches and evaluations
• Support major contract negotiations
• Align procurement with business requirements
• Resolve escalated procurement issues

• Master degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• At least eight years of category management and complex sourcing experience
• Experience sourcing corporate services and real estate categories
• Experience leading high-performing procurement teams
• English communication proficiency

• Duty station is selected from Washington, D.C., Sofia or Chennai
• Recruitment is international in Washington and local in Sofia or Chennai
