Overview
The officer will manage accounting and treasury services for IFRC’s Armenia office, validate transactions, guide project budgeting, reconcile accounts, close monthly books, prepare donor reports and assess financial controls for transfers to the Armenian Red Cross Society.

Responsibilities
- Validate transactions, coding and supporting documents against IFRC financial procedures
- Advise programme staff on budgets, expenditure variances and reallocations
- Manage cash requests, bank transfers, cash flow, petty cash and bank reconciliations
- Review accounting entries, supplementary services and shared office costs
- Reconcile balance-sheet accounts and complete month-end closing routines
- Prepare financial analysis, donor reports and project performance advice
- Assess financial controls and verify fund transfers to the Armenian Red Cross Society
- Support auditors and train finance and non-finance colleagues
Requirements
- University or master’s degree in administration, financial management or accounting
- Professional finance or accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or CPA
- At least three years of professional experience in a finance or accounting department
- Experience managing and supporting staff
- Experience with the Red Cross or Red Crescent Movement
- Fluent spoken and written English and Armenian
