Overview

The role manages the interface between UNFPA business units and Human Resources by delivering strategic HR client services and driving HR programmes. It supports managers and staff across client regions or headquarters with policy advice, workforce planning, talent management and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Advise staff and managers on HR policies, guidelines and practices
  • Lead business cases for new or revised HR policies with other HR Business Partners
  • Manage implementation of HR policies and practices by managers, HR focal points and non-HR staff
  • Provide strategic advice on performance management and career development systems
  • Lead talent management programmes including performance, talent reviews, succession, mobility and staff development
  • Advise on organisational effectiveness, high-performing teams and change processes
  • Use HR analytics to advise managers on workforce planning, staffing trends and staffing needs
  • Manage recruitment and administration of national and international staff and individual consultants

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organisational Development or related discipline
  • Ten years of progressively relevant experience in HR management
  • Five years of HR management experience at international level
  • Five years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Mastery of modern concepts and approaches in Human Resources
  • Proven ability to deliver effective solutions to complex HR challenges in a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English
