Job Description
Manages UNDP’s 24/7 Security Operations Centre in Papua New Guinea, maintaining situational awareness and coordinating incident and emergency response. The officer verifies reports, manages security data and communications, implements procedures, prepares briefings and supports drills and staff training.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate round-the-clock security monitoring and operational response
- Verify, log and disseminate incident reports and security updates
- Maintain security databases, trackers and operational logs
- Operate and test radio, phone, tracking and emergency systems
- Develop and implement security procedures and contingency plans
- Prepare situation reports, briefings, drills and staff training
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in political science, military studies, security management or a related field with at least two years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least four years
- Progressively responsible security experience, preferably in a military or police context
- Valid class 6 driving licence
- Fluency in English and Tok Pisin
Desired Criteria
- Police, military or security-training certification
- Experience with the United Nations, an international NGO, government security bodies or a Security Operations Centre
