Responsibilities

  • Lead headquarters and travel-security operations under UNSMS requirements
  • Manage crisis incidents, emergency response and security investigations
  • Maintain crisis plans, procedures, exercises and staff training
  • Oversee incident reporting, early warnings and security assessments
  • Address risks in senior-official travel, accommodation and transport
  • Coordinate security for external events, meetings and conferences
  • Supervise field-travel security work and guide junior staff
  • Advise the Central Security Coordinator on operational responses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a security-related discipline or equivalent military or police qualification
  • At least five years of progressively responsible operational-security or security-management experience
  • At least three years of UN Security Management System experience, including field experience
  • Experience working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and spoken English
