Responsibilities

  • Oversee emergency coordination activities in support of senior WFP leadership
  • Lead UN ceasefire preparation, planning and response linkages across Ukraine
  • Prepare emergency assessment capacities and contingency planning recommendations
  • Coordinate cross-functional analysis for coherent emergency preparedness and response
  • Advise HQ and country office teams on humanitarian access strategies
  • Represent WFP in humanitarian operational coordination with UN agencies and civil society
  • Lead civil-military coordination with Ukrainian Regional Military Administrations
  • Develop emergency-response training, lessons learned and team performance

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, public administration, international law, public health, international relations, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field, or bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience
  • Extensive experience with conflict dynamics of the war in Ukraine and humanitarian response innovations
  • Ability to manage relationships with Ukrainian Military Administrations
  • Proven experience leading large teams in crisis environments and planning humanitarian convoys
  • Expertise operating in environments affected by UAV warfare
  • Experience in wartime crisis management affecting staff, assets and beneficiaries
  • Fluency in English
