Responsibilities

  • Develop internal civilian human-resources policy and represent command positions in NATO policy bodies
  • Oversee implementation of personnel rules and compliance of civilian employment actions
  • Advise commanders and subordinate HR offices on policy, administration and complex personnel cases
  • Resolve grievances and disputes and represent the command before the NATO Administrative Tribunal
  • Develop recruitment, performance-management, training and employee-relations practices
  • Manage civilian-pay budget planning and personnel-resource inputs
  • Lead long-term HR initiatives and represent the command on personnel committees

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent with at least six years of post-related experience
  • Six to eight years of human-resources management experience, including three to four years at a higher managerial level
  • Experience interpreting administrative regulations and legal implications of personnel decisions
  • Experience with budgeting and financial resource management for employee costs
  • English at NATO SLP 3333
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to obtain NATO SECRET security clearance before employment begins
