The consultant will help UNEP mainstream TEEBAgriFood evidence in Indian national and state policy by advising government and research partners, linking natural-capital findings to planning, budgets and public investment, engaging Sikkim stakeholders and documenting policy uptake.

Responsibilities
- Advance the TEEBAgriFood framework among national and state policy-makers
- Advise the project team and research partners on emerging policy-mainstreaming opportunities
- Engage planning and finance departments on using project evidence in budgets and public investment
- Recommend pathways for integrating Steering Committee policy options into government processes
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement in Sikkim to build institutional uptake
- Contribute to policy-maker awareness, knowledge dissemination and capacity building
- Review policy briefs and stakeholder-facing knowledge products
- Document consultations, follow-up actions and mainstreaming progress
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental geoinformatics, environmental management, law, social anthropology, sustainable development, economics, agriculture or a related field, or a first degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of experience working with Government of India bodies, including at senior level, on agriculture and environmental issues
- Fluency in spoken and written English
