Section Head (Capability Planning)

The section head will lead capability planning for NATO's Nuclear C3 modernisation programme, managing programme scope, requirements, security documentation, stakeholder alignment and capability delivery planning.

Department: Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT), Nuclear C3 Capability Management Office

• Manage the Capability Planning section and oversee work strands for capability delivery governance products
• Manage programme scope, timelines, risks, costs and lifecycle planning
• Oversee analytical studies, NC3 capability architecture and security documentation development
• Drive capability requirements and benefit-realisation processes for end users
• Organize workshops with host nations, agencies and users and represent ACT in NC3-related committees and working groups

• University degree in a listed numerate, management, public administration, operations research, project management, computer science or related discipline with 2 years of function-related experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and 4 years of post-related experience
• 5 years of experience in defence capability development of complex system acquisition or development for a large military organization or major private company supporting military or government organizations
• 3 years of experience in programme development including requirements specification, integration, planning, financial, budget and execution responsibilities
• 3 years of related professional experience encompassing programmatic team leadership or management
• Must apply for and receive Security COSMIC TOP SECRET/A clearance before final confirmation and employment commencement

• Limited-duration 3-year NATO project post
• Budget planning information responsibilities are included but the post has no budget authority
