Risk and Compliance Officer

Strengthens risk management and compliance for the Sudan Humanitarian Fund by reviewing partner due diligence, supporting capacity assessments and incident management, and coordinating with humanitarian partners to improve accountable funding, project oversight and reporting.

• Review partner due-diligence documents and support updates in the Grant Management System
• Support partner capacity assessments through document reviews, training and verification visits
• Develop risk-management capacity building on fraud and sexual exploitation and abuse
• Support the implementation and revision of organisational risk-related policies
• Maintain strategic partnerships and follow up with humanitarian partners on compliance
• Monitor projects, review proposals and prepare dashboards, newsletters and reports

• Master’s degree in humanitarian affairs, emergency relief management, development work or a related discipline, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree in humanitarian affairs, emergency relief management or development work
• Experience with a UN agency or NGO providing humanitarian assistance
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge or experience of the Humanitarian Programme Cycle
• Experience implementing organisational policies
• Fluency in English and Arabic

• Proficiency with web-based grants-management systems
• Experience vetting or assessing NGOs
• Experience developing and facilitating training
• Experience with humanitarian financing
• Experience in project design, management, implementation or monitoring and evaluation
