Job Description

Supports WFP Lebanon's risk and compliance function by maintaining risk registers, reviewing programmes and controls, reporting incidents, supporting audits and assurance, analysing performance data, conducting partner and vendor due diligence, and strengthening records, guidance and corrective-action follow-up.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and monitor operational and programme risks
  • Review proposals and programme documents for risks and mitigation measures
  • Maintain risk registers and flag emerging trends, gaps and overdue actions
  • Report fraud, misconduct, sexual exploitation and abuse cases and major incidents
  • Support assurance exercises, audits and follow-up of recommendations
  • Compile and present risk, compliance and programme-performance data
  • Conduct due diligence for partners and vendors
  • Maintain risk records, procedures, systems and databases
  • Guide staff on risk-management policies, tools and processes
  • Quality-assure reports, agreements and procedures for risk and compliance considerations

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree with one year of postgraduate experience, or first university degree with three years of related experience, in business or public administration, project management, audit, finance, accounting, international development, performance or risk management
  • Experience contributing to risk management, mitigation, internal-control reviews, audits or performance planning
  • Experience supporting programme management, data analysis, assurance processes and recommendation follow-up
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic

Desired Criteria

  • French-language knowledge
  • Experience designing risk analyses, mitigation strategies or performance plans
  • Experience leading oversight or fact-finding reviews
  • Experience with results monitoring, risk databases or tracking tools
  • Experience with United Nations or international organisations
  • Familiarity with governance, accountability and enterprise-risk frameworks
