Project Implementation and Coordination Support Consultant

Coordinates a municipal SDG-localisation project for the Local2030 Coalition, managing delivery, stakeholder engagement, policy and knowledge products, events, communications and donor reporting so local evidence and solutions shape sustainable-development processes.

Department: Local2030 Coalition Secretariat

• Coordinate project workplans, activities, milestones and donor reporting for municipal SDG localisation
• Manage development, review, publication and dissemination of policy and knowledge products
• Organise consultations, high-level events, workshops, training and peer-learning activities
• Document local solutions, good practices and stakeholder contributions for global policy processes
• Maintain project repositories and produce web, social-media and communication materials
• Coordinate procurement, service recruitment, travel, finance and contractual documentation
• Facilitate collaboration among UN entities, donors, municipalities and Local2030 partners
• Identify delivery risks, coordinate corrective action and prepare implementation and achievement reports

• Advanced degree in public affairs, political science, social sciences, development studies or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least two years of experience supporting project implementation, progress monitoring, activity coordination, shared information management and timely delivery
• Experience organising global multi-stakeholder events and preparing invitations, agendas, concept notes and talking points
• Advocacy experience developing key messages and promoting project outputs through online platforms and social media
• Fluency in English and German

• Consultancy duration is nine months
• The consultant reports to the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat Team Lead
