Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, implementation, monitoring and administration of assigned climate and environment projects
  • Prepare and update situation analyses, work plans, recommendations and programme status reports
  • Identify critical intervention points and effective strategies for programme implementation
  • Manage programme funds, expenditure certification, supply requirements and cash needs
  • Conduct programme monitoring and evaluations to improve performance and document results
  • Apply rights-based and results-based approaches across programme and project processes
  • Build national and local partner capacity for sustainable climate and environment programming
  • Maintain partnerships and coordination for advocacy, technical cooperation, information sharing and networking

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, public administration, public policy, social or sustainable development, natural or agricultural sciences, anthropology or another relevant field
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience in programme management, climate change, environmental management, monitoring and evaluation, policy analysis, capacity building, partnership development, knowledge management, child rights or humanitarian coordination
  • Fluency in French and Malagasy
