National Consultant: Scale Up the Climate Guardians Initiative

The consultant will coordinate, implement and quality-assure the Climate Guardians initiative as a national platform for child and youth participation in climate action and resilience in the Maldives.

• Support scale-up and implementation of the Climate Guardians initiative
• Coordinate child and youth engagement in climate action and resilience activities
• Facilitate policy dialogue, stakeholder engagement and systems-strengthening processes
• Support implementation in selected islands and quality assurance of related activities
• Document initiative progress and support long-term government ownership

• University degree in environmental science, climate change, disaster risk reduction, education, youth development, social sciences, public policy, communications for development or another relevant field
• At least three years of relevant work experience in climate projects
• Fluency in English and Dhivehi
• Maldivian nationality
