Responsibilities
- Review and approve social and environmental screening procedures
- Monitor SESP implementation and guide safeguards management plans
- Coordinate grievance redress and stakeholder response mechanisms
- Quality-assure environmental and social assessments and risk instruments
- Design and deliver SES training for personnel and partners
- Coordinate with UN agencies, donors and stakeholders on safeguards
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental studies, social sciences, international development or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience
- Minimum five years of relevant experience with a master's degree or seven years with a bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing environmental and social safeguards and accountability mechanisms
- Fluency in English is required
