Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of transactional human resources, finance and operational support services to a common platform or shared service centre
- Develop transition strategies, implementation roadmaps, governance arrangements, milestones, risk registers and benefits plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, headquarters, the Regional Service Centre, client entities and other stakeholders
- Map workloads and processes, forecast service demand and assess operational readiness using digital systems
- Identify opportunities to standardise, automate, simplify and optimise transactional workflows
- Monitor implementation against service agreements, KPIs, dashboards and milestones and initiate corrective action
- Analyse client surveys and service-delivery issues and prepare evidence-based reports and recommendations
- Maintain client and partner relationships across the Secretariat and field missions
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, business or public administration, programme management or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience in finance, budgeting or programme evaluation
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or a related area
- At least three years of programme management or analysis experience in an international environment
- Experience managing multiple projects
- Experience planning and preparing programmes in an international organisation
- Experience in results-based budgeting, change management and business process improvement using ERP or business intelligence systems
- UN Level III English across reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Applicants for Professional posts in a mission or field operation cannot be nationals of the duty-station country
