Responsibilities
- Direct the General Supply, Rations and Fuel Units and warehouse operations
- Formulate and oversee mission supply support plans and requirements
- Coordinate supply priorities with mission leadership, UN Headquarters and UN entities
- Lead acquisition planning, specifications, requisitions and technical evaluations
- Develop results-based budgets and monitor high-value expenditure
- Review supply policies, practices and procedures and resolve contract implementation disputes
- Develop section business plans and monitor individual work plans
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate supply personnel
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business administration, supply services management, public administration, law, engineering or a related field, or a first university degree with professional certification and extensive relevant management experience
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience supporting international commercial, military or field operations
- Experience managing logistics supply operations in an international military operation
- Experience managing major projects and procurement or global service contracts
- Experience planning, deploying or sustaining field operations
- English at UN Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking
