Overview
Evaluates NATO ballistic-missile-defence capability proposals and their technical, financial and workforce implications in Brussels. The officer assesses programme scope, schedules, costs, risks and lifecycle budgets, advises committees and national authorities, contributes to common-funding policy and chairs technical meetings.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate military requirements and technical solutions for ballistic-missile-defence capabilities
- Assess programme scope, schedules, costs, performance, risks and policy compliance
- Review operation and maintenance budgets across capability lifecycles
- Advise NATO committees, delegations, agencies and military authorities
- Contribute to policy for military common-funded resources
- Coordinate national and NATO bodies across capability programming and disposal
- Present screening reports to resource committees
- Chair technical meetings on common-funded capability projects
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, electronic engineering or a closely related science or engineering field
- At least five years of experience developing, procuring or maintaining complex systems
- Knowledge of project and programme management principles and methods
- Ability to communicate complex technical and financial advice to technical and non-technical audiences
- NATO language level V in either English or French and level II in the other
- Nationality of a NATO member country
