Responsibilities
- Analyse Kazakhstan's current marriage and family legislation and related normative legal acts
- Identify legal gaps, challenges and law-enforcement issues affecting marriage and family matters
- Review international human rights, family protection, women's rights and children's rights standards and relevant comparative practice
- Consult UN agencies, national partners, state bodies, experts, academics and civil society representatives
- Prepare analytical and legal recommendations for improving marriage and family legislation
- Draft proposed amendments, a comparative table, a draft law and a consultative regulatory policy document
- Present proposals at a validation meeting and revise documents based on partner feedback
Requirements
- University degree in law, international law, public administration, gender equality or a related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in the development, analysis or improvement of legislation
- Experience in family law, human rights, gender equality or social policy
- Experience preparing analytical materials, draft normative legal acts or expert opinions
- Excellent written and spoken Kazakh and Russian
