National Consultant for WASH Survey in Lualaba and South Kivu

Provides technical leadership and capacity development for WASH survey implementation in DRC cholera priority health zones, supporting methodology, training, field deployment, analysis and reporting.

Department: Country Support Platform

• Review the survey methodology and questionnaire
• Coordinate remotely with the CSP Regional Programme Manager, PNECHOL team and Congolese Red Cross
• Support refinement of tools for data collection, quality assurance and analysis
• Support or lead surveyor training with local partners
• Backstop initial survey implementation in Miti-Murhesa and Idjwi health zones
• Lead training of trainers for national counterparts
• Conduct preliminary survey data analysis with the team
• Prepare the survey report and methodological lessons learned

• University graduate degree in management or a relevant field
• University postgraduate degree in business or a relevant field
• At least seven years of experience in WASH programming, including cholera-endemic settings
• Experience with mobile data collection tools, particularly KOBO
• Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver training programmes
• Previous work in the Great Lakes region of Africa, preferably DRC or Burundi
• Fluency in spoken and written French
• Experience in survey design, implementation and analysis

• Assignment includes one week pre-deployment, six weeks field deployment and three weeks post-deployment
• Field deployment includes Bukavu and Lualaba
• Deliverables include training materials, field implementation report, survey report and lessons learned document
