Responsibilities

  • Review the survey methodology and questionnaire
  • Coordinate with the CSP Regional Programme Manager, COUSP team and Burundi Red Cross
  • Support refinement of tools for data collection, quality assurance and analysis
  • Support or lead training of surveyors with local partners
  • Backstop initial survey implementation in Bujumbura and other validated priority areas
  • Lead training of trainers for national counterparts
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of survey data with the team
  • Prepare the survey report and methodological lessons learned

Requirements

  • University graduate degree in WASH or a relevant field
  • University postgraduate degree in a relevant field
  • At least seven years of experience in WASH programming, including cholera-endemic settings
  • Experience with mobile data collection tools, particularly KOBO
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver training programmes
  • Previous work in the Great Lakes region of Africa, preferably DRC or Burundi
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Experience in survey design, implementation and analysis
