Legal Affairs Intern

The Office of Legal Affairs is offering a Vienna-based internship with the International Trade Law Division, which serves UNCITRAL. The intern supports research, comparative legal studies, drafting of legal texts, case law analysis and technical assistance work in international trade law.

Department: International Trade Law Division

• Assist with research and preparation of comparative legal studies
• Support preparation and drafting of legal texts such as conventions and model laws
• Conduct background studies and legal research
• Contribute to identification of legislative reform needs and assistance requirements
• Assist with collection and analysis of case law on UNCITRAL texts

• Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or be enrolled in or have completed the final year of a first university degree programme
• Academic background relevant to law, international trade law, commercial law or related fields
• English required

• Expected duration: 2 to 6 months
• Internship is unpaid and full-time in Vienna
