Supports the IPU Human Rights Programme in Geneva by attending UN human rights mechanism meetings, conducting research on human rights issues and parliamentary engagement, and contributing to the IPU's global human rights campaign. Responsibilities

  • Attend and report on meetings in Geneva of UN human rights mechanisms
  • Carry out research on UN human rights mechanism reports and country human rights situations
  • Support monitoring, evaluation and learning of the IPU human rights campaign
  • Draft correspondence to parliaments on human rights engagement and events
  • Engage with MPs during IPU Assemblies and events to promote campaign participation
  • Document success stories and support communication and knowledge products

Requirements

  • University degree in law, political science, international relations, or related fields
  • Fluency, both oral and written, in English and French
