International Consultant - Expert on Countering the Financing of Terrorism

Adds experts to an OSCE roster for countering the financing of terrorism assignments, including training design, technical assistance, guidance materials and advisory support for participating States.

Department: Transnational Threats Department, Action against Terrorism Unit

• Support needs assessments for countering the financing of terrorism training programmes
• Develop and tailor training materials, slides, case studies and exercises on CFT
• Explain CFT concepts to law enforcement, policymakers, civil society and mixed audiences
• Provide expert input for thematic briefs, guides and OSCE publications
• Provide specialised operational assistance on CFT to government agencies
• Mentor and coach professionals working on countering the financing of terrorism
• Support consultations and dialogues involving civil society actors
• Adapt training content to regional or national contexts across OSCE areas

• Advanced university degree in economics, finance, political science, law, security studies, international relations or a related CFT field, or relevant technical expertise
• At least seven years of relevant operational or policy experience in CFT-related areas
• Professional fluency in English with excellent writing skills
• Computer literacy with practical experience using Microsoft applications
• Willingness and ability to travel for specific assignments

• Roster call with duration depending on each assignment, deliverables, location and modality
• Multiple posts may be filled from the roster
