Overview
Implements, administers and supports enterprise IT systems under UNRWA's Education Microsoft tenant in Syria, including messaging, collaboration and networking services across schools. Manages student, teacher and administrative user accounts, maintains system documentation and supports ICT4Education policy implementation.

Responsibilities
- Implement, administer and support enterprise on-premises and cloud systems under the Education Microsoft tenant, including messaging, collaboration and IT service management platforms
- Implement and administer infrastructure networking services, including LAN, wireless network and WAN connectivity, in schools
- Identify, resolve and escalate systems, functional and operational issues in coordination with support teams and external service providers
- Manage user accounts for students, teachers and administrative staff, ensuring access to digital educational resources
- Develop, implement and maintain ICT4Education policies, procedures, technologies and associated training plans
- Liaise with vendors and external agencies on the deployment and management of related technologies
- Assist with information security activities, including reporting exposures, investigating incidents and implementing remediation
- Create and maintain documentation for system topologies, configurations and operations
Requirements
- University degree in information technology, information management, computer science or related discipline
- MCSA/MCSE or related certification and an IT service management certification such as ITIL Foundation
- Certification in Microsoft Office 365 Administration, Azure, SharePoint Online or related Microsoft cloud-based systems
- Minimum six years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing and administering Microsoft server technologies, messaging and collaboration systems and Active Directory, including two years in a supervisory role
- Working experience with Microsoft Windows desktop technology, Office suite and Microsoft 365 solutions in an ITIL-driven environment
- English and Arabic required

- Daily paid assignment for up to three months, with possible extension subject to funds, performance and continuing need
- Daily rate of USD 38.69
- Position limited to candidates residing in Syria within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work
- Preference given to registered Palestine refugees
