Responsibilities
- Support monitoring of the human rights situation and technical assistance with the UN Country Team
- Prepare analytical materials on civil and political rights violations affecting women, Afro-descendants, migrants and human rights defenders
- Support technical assistance, advocacy and dialogue with state institutions, civil society and other stakeholders
- Strengthen protection and participation mechanisms including networks, observatories and dialogue platforms
- Provide technical input on human rights-based approaches in justice, security and governance work
- Support follow-up to UPR, treaty body and special procedure recommendations
- Contribute to newsletters, social media content, speeches and public event materials
Requirements
- Academic background in law, political science, international relations or social sciences with a focus on human rights
- Experience in the human rights field at national or international level
- Excellent knowledge of international human rights instruments and tools for their promotion and protection
- English is required
- Spanish is required
