Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to monitor implementation of Ombudsperson recommendations on children's right to live in a family
  • Strengthen departmental interinstitutional tables and coordination between protection, justice and subnational actors
  • Support socialisation, adaptation and implementation of rules, guidelines and technical tools for family visits and reintegration
  • Contribute evidence to improve care quality and management in residential care centres
  • Prepare a workplan, monitoring tools, stakeholder matrix and coordination strategy
  • Produce progress and final reports on implementation gaps, institutional coordination and policy recommendations
  • Coordinate technical validation with UNICEF, the Ombudsperson and the relevant vice-ministry

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, political sciences, legal sciences or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in human rights, child and adolescent rights, or the right to live in a family
  • Eight years of work experience in protection of children and adolescents from violence, abuse, exploitation or neglect
  • Five years of experience on children's right to live in a family
  • Knowledge of SIPPROINA functions and powers at all levels
  • Knowledge of national and international law on the right to live in a family
  • Knowledge of protection-system programmes and services for children and adolescents
  • Advanced technical spoken and written Spanish
  • Bolivian nationality or permission to work in Bolivia

  • Travel is required to Cochabamba, Oruro, Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz, Beni and Pando
  • Contract is lump sum and covers fees, travel, accommodation, meals, taxes and all costs linked to deliverables
