Individual Consultant: Social Protection Coordinator

Supports Nepal's National Planning Commission and UNICEF on social protection coordination, implementation planning, monitoring frameworks and consultations under an integrated national social protection agenda.

Department: Social Policy, Governance and Evidence Section

• Prepare an individual workplan with the National Planning Commission and UNICEF
• Support day-to-day social protection work within the National Planning Commission
• Facilitate finalisation of the SDG roadmap on social protection and jobs
• Guide development of an action plan for the Integrated National Social Protection Framework
• Coordinate development of a monitoring and evaluation framework
• Organise consultations and workshops with ministries and departments
• Document workshop findings, decisions and discussions

• Master's degree in social science, social policy, economics, public administration or a related field
• At least three years of experience in social policy work with the UN system or government
• Good written and verbal command of English and Nepali
