Overview

Leads INTERPOL confidentiality, vetting and due-diligence operations, including access rights and confidential information workflows. The role sets strategy, policies, procedures, risk assessments and awareness work for the Confidentiality Desk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations, strategy, budgeting and resourcing for the Confidentiality Desk
  • Define and maintain the INTERPOL Confidentiality Regime, including access rights, security vetting and client due diligence
  • Validate risk assessments and escalate higher-classification assessments to the Classification Panel
  • Develop standard operating procedures for vetting, access rights management, due diligence, escalation and appeals
  • Supervise compliance audits, access-right reviews, control testing and clear desk policy reviews
  • Liaise with information security, data protection, security, legal, procurement and information services teams
  • Lead training, capacity building and communication on confidentiality requirements

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in a related discipline such as information security
  • Relevant professional qualifications or training in information management, client due diligence, Know Your Customer risk, security vetting, ethics, governance and oversight or professional standards
  • Minimum eight years of experience working in a security domain
  • Five to ten years of management experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Experience leading a team of independent specialists from different professional backgrounds
  • Proven experience managing and leading a strategic improvement related function, setting a confidentiality regime or a similar function
  • Experience developing and embedding organisational risks and assurance practices, classification regimes, due diligence procedures, policies, data protection or similar activities
  • Fluent written and spoken English
