Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations, strategy, budgeting and resourcing for the Confidentiality Desk
- Define and maintain the INTERPOL Confidentiality Regime, including access rights, security vetting and client due diligence
- Validate risk assessments and escalate higher-classification assessments to the Classification Panel
- Develop standard operating procedures for vetting, access rights management, due diligence, escalation and appeals
- Supervise compliance audits, access-right reviews, control testing and clear desk policy reviews
- Liaise with information security, data protection, security, legal, procurement and information services teams
- Lead training, capacity building and communication on confidentiality requirements
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in a related discipline such as information security
- Relevant professional qualifications or training in information management, client due diligence, Know Your Customer risk, security vetting, ethics, governance and oversight or professional standards
- Minimum eight years of experience working in a security domain
- Five to ten years of management experience, preferably in an international environment
- Experience leading a team of independent specialists from different professional backgrounds
- Proven experience managing and leading a strategic improvement related function, setting a confidentiality regime or a similar function
- Experience developing and embedding organisational risks and assurance practices, classification regimes, due diligence procedures, policies, data protection or similar activities
- Fluent written and spoken English
