Desarrollador (e-VISAS)

The consultant will develop and deploy improvements to Ecuador’s e-VISAS platform, modernising authentication and authorisation, enhancing the citizen interface and delivering tested, secure software across development, testing and production environments with technical knowledge transfer.

Department: IOM Ecuador Protection Unit

• Develop clean and structured code for the e-VISAS improvement programme
• Modernise platform authentication and authorisation using Microsoft Entra ID
• Update Dockerfiles supporting the e-VISAS deployment environments
• Improve successive components of the citizen-facing interface
• Correct defects and optimise software performance
• Create unit tests and collaborate with quality assurance on validation
• Control software versions and support deployments across environments
• Transfer technical and functional knowledge to government counterparts

• Third-level professional qualification in information technology
• At least three years of frontend or backend software-development experience
• At least three years of comparable development work using C# .NET Core, Angular, SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform
• Residence in Quito is required because the work is performed in assigned government offices
• Spanish is required
• Certificates demonstrating participation in comparable projects are required

• Consultancy payments are linked to acceptance of five defined software products
• Consultants must provide proof of medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness
• Appointment is subject to funding confirmation, medical fitness and applicable accreditation, residency, visa and security clearances
