Data Engineer

IATA sought a data engineer to build and operate cloud-based data platforms and products supporting strategic aviation priorities. The role designs batch and real-time pipelines, transformations, data access controls, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and governed data solutions.

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Develop and optimize data transformation workflows using SQL, Python, Spark, dbt, and similar technologies
• Build and support real-time streaming solutions with Confluent
• Integrate data solutions with business intelligence, data catalog, and data quality frameworks
• Manage data access controls and security policies across cloud and data platforms
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, release management, and infrastructure as code
